They Be Hating...

It was brought to the attention of "The Verge" that there is a group of Black Women (Sister2Sister) who are senselessly hating of the life and times of the most admirable DPM and his journey "On the Verge..."
Perhaps they aren't courageous enuff to get by their own issues of Black men, but to interpret the satire, opinions, and commentary of DPM as "dedicating a site to why sista's ain't good enough?" And then to go on to say that, "This is why we will never be respected by other races, we don't even like or respect ourselves."...is rethikulous!

These and other words of theirs are far from the truth, mission, healing and experience of OTV. I can also add that during the life and walk of Deepium on OTV he was fortunate enough to encounter a variety of Beautiful Black Women who respected his stance, expression and honesty.

To say that OTV is a site that:

"is about a bunch of angry black men hating on angry black women. its a vicious cycle rooted in mistrust and societal pressures on our race. its really sad...why cant there be a sight for bm and bw to express their feelings instead of saying they are "on the verge". that shows a lot of immaturity imo. im just saying, if a black man isn't strong enough to hold his black "sista" down, then we don't need him..." (dahh..)

is purely Pathiggalous  and far from the truth. 

As the Admin of OTV, I'm almost positive that they were not literate enuff to read the site and comprehend it's mssion of Self & Black Love.

In other light, it's rather sad to see a group of Black women dedicating their time to bashing Brothas from whatever angle they can. 

Grown Ass Black Woman…Sucking Her Thumb

True Story: So I’m driving ever so slowly in the thick of morning traffic and I look over to my right and I see this grown ass Sista’ sitting behind the wheel with this frozen dumb stare, with her tongue half-way spilling out her mouth and sucking on her thumb.

It looked so bad all I could do is shake my head in pity…And you know how you can feel somebody looking at you? Well, I looked and shook my head enough for her to turn and see my disapproval.  And when she saw me shaking my head with a sneer on my face,she exploded!  I mean, she was jumping up and down and aggressively yelling at me...

SWA: Sistas With Attitude

True story: 

I'm at a club with my cousin and he sees a lady friend of his.  He, knowing that I'm interested in purchasing some property in the near future, decides to introduce me to her because she was a loan agent or something like that.  After he introduces me to her at the bar, her and I proceed to have a peaceful conversation about real estate and credit.

I kept it short and brief. In the end she gave me her card.

A moment later the seat on the other side of her became available. So I sat down to relieve myself from standing.   As a sat and become a bit more comfortable, I asked her where she was from.

She looked at me kinda crazy and said, "Guess."

Thinking she had an odd sense of humor, I guessed the city we were in and I ordered my drink in the same breath.

Of course, my guess was wrong, and she rolled her eyes as she corrected me. I tried to keep the small talk going, but it was obvious she didn't want anything to do with me.  At one point she even told me that my "lines" were "cliche."

When my drink arrived, she--interestingly enough--peered at my wallet and glanced the business card she just me 2 minutes ago.  She then said with disgust, "Where did you get my card from?"

"From you," I replied.

She twisted her face and asked, "When?"

"Just now," I told her. 

She then realized that I was the same person who was just standing next to her talking to her about buying property.  She apologized for her attitude and clarified that she didn't recognize me between to 5-second interval it took for me to move from my standing position on her left, to sitting on the stool next to her on her right.

"Whatever," I'm thinking.  But what I was more interested in was, "Why? And where did the attitude come from?"
