You got it.  I'm saying, this is one of the newest genres of Hip Hop and it's called "New Wave Thuggin'."

Before you hate, listen to it. This music might surprise you, and Niggaz & White Girls might stay in heavy rotation in your car, headphones, iTunes, mp3... This is definitely a masterpiece in the on-going saga of Hip Hop.

You know, I really like this album. I think a lot of people prejudge it. However, Kirb and Chris touch on a lot of real issues that exist between Black men and Women.

I like to believe that they lighten the topic and allow us enjoy and process the truth at the same time.

yeah this album was about the issues dealing with interracial relations in america. some say that it's not a worthy topic or that it is not even an issue anymore, but if that were true then what is all the uproar about. Why are people digusted by the notion a black man and a white women being together. Just to say the phase "Niggaz and white girlz" caused such a react we had to explore the issue. So this album was just a platform for the discussion that is taking place right now. Because if there wasn't a problem this discussion would not exist. As far a Kirb and Chris is concerned it is not a matter condoning or glorifying the issue because it really shouldn't be an issue in the first place. And secondly we are fuckin wit whatever's fuckin with us. whether it be white or black. Out!

My quick review:

Hip-hop meets 80's music: What a dope ass concept. Since I flow from both eras, this marriage of music satisfies both the B-girl AND "Nerd Girl" in me...Kirb & Chris on some "Breakfast Club type shyt!"

Funky samples of Gary Numan's "CARS", "Suddenly Last Summer" by The Motels, and Thompson Twins remixes got me wantin' to listen a lil' more...

DPM - I felt like I had to comment on this, after my long response over at SatisfiedSistah's spot.

I can't even bring myself to listen to the song in it's entirety, b/c it is offensive to me. Black men and white women is nothing new, and I would love it, if the majority of black men were doing it in a healthy fashion, but they're not.

Why can't the CD just be 'black men and white women', or 'black dudes and white chicks', or 'niggahz and white bitches' (to be more edgy). The mere reference of black men as "Niggahz", while refering to white women as girlz, instead of the all to common "bitches" and "Hoes" shows some underlying issues.

@ Chris&Kirb - Further more saying,

"we are fuckin wit whatever's fuckin with us. whether it be white or black"

is just rithickulous (ha, I like that)!! Of course it's an issue, with all these black men running around devaluing the black woman's worth, be it through, the glorified video vixen, the public slander, or just the basic social ignoring of black women, then OF COURSE IT WILL BE A SENSITIVE ISSUE.
