Back in the day I used to always look for a free way in the club. I mean, I climbed through fire escapes, peeked at the guest list, bribed the security and—my all time favorite—walked in the front door backwards and unnoticed.
But it occurred to me one day that is wasn’t cute, nor impressive to be so cheap about a 5 to 10 dollar cover charge. Basically, I can afford it now. Plus I got tired of annoying promoters and such just to get myself in free.
Furthermore, I find that when I pay my way it motivates me to get my money’s worth whether that’s pulling a notch or just having a good time.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one to turn down some guest list action, but I don’t go in search of it nowadays. If I want to go in a club, I simply pay.
I find that the above is also the unspoken rule for many of my same group of friends who I used to go on the “free admission missions” with back in the day. Basically, we grew up. We got jobs. And if we want to go out and have a good time, we do it with money in hand.
Yet and still I still run into and know women who still gloat about their free entries, …”Oh, I never pay to get in there.”
And I just want to say, “So!” Am I to be impressed? Or am I to assume that $10 dollars is just too much to pay to be in the company of other people?
And what kills me about these freeloaders is that they’re never satisfied or entertained at these clubs, which is partly the reason they refuse or wouldn’t even think about paying in the first place, “Oh I never pay there” or “I get in free there” are more of their signifiers.
My question is, “Then why do these club hoes keep going to the same boring clubs?”
If anything, I’m tired of hearing about these elementary feats—let alone I’m sick of them being around me at the club telling me how they didn’t pay to get in.
In sum, I’m more impressed with a woman who can big ball an admission price or at least keep her freebie entry privilege to herself.

If this is what you see in clubs, I would be "on the verge" too.
